Today was the day of the small business meeting hosted by Sienna. I woke up excited and left the office early as I had a light workload. About 30 people gathered, each introducing themselves and talking about various topics. The group consisted of people running diverse businesses. Though there were some familiar faces, most were new, but we quickly bonded over shared concerns. Even though it was only a few hours, we parted with a promise to meet again. Kudos to Sienna for hosting such a diverse gathering.

Personally, I realized that it’s easy to think, “Let’s have a conversation,” but when I became one of the people involved in the issue, I couldn’t see the solution. Such stories can’t be shared anywhere, but at this business meeting, I could bring them up. Originally, when a problem arises, you see that it’s not as big as it seems or discover alternative solutions when you take a step back. However, being too close to the issue can obscure the solution. Discussing my concerns at the networking meeting and hearing various opinions gave me insights I hadn’t considered before. I’m glad I came.
